What does a Pastry Chef do?

A Pastry Chef is generally responsible for all of the pastry items that come out of a kitchen. They can work in a variety of environments but their main task is to come up with new pastry ideas, make the pastries, and ensure quality control. A Pastry Chef is also responsible for organizing and making sure the workspace is kept clean, tidy, and adheres to all health and safety protocols.
