Position Summary:

McDonald's is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join their team in the Fraser Valley Regional District, BC area. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all facilities within a designated area, as well as assisting in the coordination of services and maintenance for all other properties within their assigned radius. The position will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities, as well as assisting in the coordination of services and maintenance for all other properties within their assigned radius.

Key Accountabilities:

Provide regular and on-going maintenance to all buildings, structures, equipment, roads, etc., of all assigned properties

Maintain positive relationships with tenants and respond to all maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner

Coordinate with other departments when scheduling services or repairs for assigned properties

Take ownership of assignments and ensure completion in a timely manner

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Experience working in a commercial apartment maintenance facility preferred

Must have valid driver�s license with an excellent driving record; no exceptions

Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays

Previous apartment or hotel landlord responsibilities preferred

Must be able to pass pre-employment screening included on the bill of lading and DOT physical exam via background check

� Replace/repair washers, faucets, seals, clogged drains and other ground structures

� Paint interior and exterior walls, cabinets, doors and other ground structures

� Complete all ground work which includes snow removal, plowing or grading surfaces within the compound

� Assis with GSE equipment maintenance when required and preform other duties as directed by the GSE Supervisor, Manager or Director

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

� Good computer skills on a variety of platforms, including the Microsoft platform

Now, here are our expectations towards a Mobile Facility Maintenance Technician:

Repair basic to intermediate issues of plumbing, electrical and heating systems. Repairs include, but are not limited to switches, plugs, fixtures, appliances, equipment, windows, doors, cabinets, drawers, toilets, sinks, faucets, p-traps, valves, vinyl/ceramic tiles replacement, plaster and painting, drywall repairs, etc.

Use the company cellphone to receive work orders. Complete tenant�s request and properly fill in the work ticket in the app. Diagnosing the problem efficiently is one of the main responsibilities of this position.

Maintain a clean record of the material/parts used with each work order and add any material/part needed to the monthly order.

Perform inspections and maintenance tasks on different types of building equipment such as pumps, motors, boilers, chillers, and generators; this includes performing various testing on equipment according to the schedule and reporting any deficiencies.

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and liability/life safety checks, detecting and reporting any faulty operation.

Communicate with clients and tenants politely and professionally.
