Knowledge using Equator with DMIS software
Perform weld tests
Maintain gauge calibration system internally and externally
Repair fixtures/gauges and manage gauge inventory
Dimensional layouts for in-process, prototype and PPAP
Perform capability studies and inspection reports
Perform GR&R and MSA studies
Assist in preparation of PPAP documentation, when required
Prepares samples for annual material verification
Maintain and preserve all measuring and testing devices in the lab
Other duties, as required
Qualifications:
Experience with programming and operating a CMM Machine and Equator with DMIS software
Experience using Minitab
Experience with various weld test procedures
Knowledge of calibration and test equipment
Ability to read drawings and blueprints
Follow IATF and ISO 14001 procedures and work instructions
Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures
Present yourself in a professional and co-operative manner with internal and external customers
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Post-Secondary Quality Training, would be beneficial

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of Shop Edge or other ERP systems
Microsoft Office
Understanding of Quality systems and inspection
Experience in high volume OEM manufacturing preferred
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Work in an organized, professional and cooperative manner
Communicate effectively, give and receive instructions accurately

The role of a Lab Technician optimizes laboratory procedures as they help to produce reliable and important reports or results for experiments undertaken by Scientists. In many cases, a Lab Technician will set up experiments and investigations. The setting up of experiments could include preparing solutions or specimens, disposing of chemicals or waste products safely, and cleaning the lab equipment used.
