ABOUT PositionThis position of
Regional IT Manager, North Americais accountable for managing local ICT services & operations including budgeting, planning, sourcing, vendor management, stakeholder engagement, change management & communications, security & compliance, technical support and architecture according to Raute global ICT guidelines and in close collaboration with rest of the ICT team. The role includes global ICT
responsibilities as agreed based on personal expertise.
Regional IT Manager reports to CIO. Responsibilities and tasks require capability to work in international matrix organization. Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving and technical skills are essential for success in this role.
The position will be based in Delta, BC but will require you to travel regularly to Pullman, WA, occasionally to Monroe, LA and to Nastola, Finland. Estimated frequency for traveling to Pullman, WA is 4 times a year and to other locations once a year.
These required
responsibilities will be performed in close collaboration and following Global ICT guidelines and architecture;
- Communicate effectively with regional stakeholders, including business units, department heads, and executive management, to understand their IT needs and priorities.
- Evaluate, select, and manage third-party vendors, suppliers, and service providers for IT-related products and services.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Develop and manage the Regional IT budget, including expenses related to hardware, software, human resources (internal & external), and projects.
- Provide technical guidance and support to end-users within the region.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Provide hands-on support for IT infrastructure installations and changes.
- Change Management and Communications
- Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects within the region, such as system upgrades, installations, and migrations.
- Define project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure project objectives are met.
- Provide regular updates on IT initiatives, projects, and performance metrics.
- Ensure the reliable and efficient operation of IT systems, networks, servers, and other infrastructure within the region.
- Monitor and manage system performance, uptime, and security.
- Implement IT best practices and procedures to maintain high levels of operational excellence.
- Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard IT infrastructure and data against cyber threats according to global guidelines and agreed technical solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to data privacy and security.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency enhancements.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation for appropriate decision making.
Qualifications and Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, computer science, or a related field,
- Proven experience 5 years in IT management, overseeing IT operations and infrastructure in a regional or multi-site context,
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact and manage changes with stakeholders at all levels,
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities, and make informed decisions,
- Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, networks, cybersecurity, hardware and cloud technologies,
- Experience with a global company would be an asset,
- Must possess a valid passport and driver’s license.
