Employees in the Structures Job Family (AME-S)perform basic tasks of fabrication, modification, assembly and repair of sheet metal and/or extruded or otherwise formed metal components, parts and/or structures, composite parts and materials, utilizing the tools and equipment applicable to aircraft industry specification. After receiving adequate certification and/or training, employees in the Structures Job Family will be able to perform sheet metal, composite and welding tasks and perform a maintenance release for tasks within the scop0e of their certification authority. In addition, they will be capable of working with related technical documents associated with their Job Family.

This position belongs to the bargaining unit and shall abide by all rules and regulations set out in the Collective Agreement.
These positions require immediate controlled goods clearance, therefore, only Canadian Residents or Permanent Residents will be considered at this time.


MAJOR Responsibilities & Duties

Ensure all repairs/modifications and tasks are performed in accordance with the customer's check package

Ensure all paperwork, documentation and reporting associated with a repair is completed accurately and in accordance with Transport Canada Regulations (CARS), Technical Airworthiness Manual (TAM), Quality Control Procedures (QCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Process Standards (CPS), all maintenance, manufacturing and policy manuals

Ensure all work tasks are performed in accordance with Cascade Aerospace health and safety policies and procedures

Be familiar with and ensure that all workplace conduct is in accordance with Cascade Aerospace's Human Resources attendance, safety and security policies and procedures

Perform other duties as required

CORE Skills

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Contractual Maintenance Engineer to join our team for a 6-month period. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide maintenance support for our client's Built platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in PHP, MVC frameworks, React, Redux, GraphQL, and client communication skills.

Qualifications and Requirements:

� Proficiency in PHP and MVC frameworks. Experience with Smarty (PHP template language) is a bonus.

� Strong understanding of relational databases.

� Familiarity with React, Redux (RTK), Typescript, and Vanilla JS.

� Knowledge of GraphQL and Apollo for efficient data retrieval.

� Experience in debugging legacy code, implementing fixes with thorough testing, and ensuring regression-free updates.

CFFI Ventures Inc. Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Position

CFFI Ventures Inc. is seeking an experienced M1/M2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to add to our team. This role will help support our CAR 604 Corporate Flight Department and CAR 703 seasonal operation.

CFFI Ventures Inc. is a private investment company based in Halifax, Nova Scotia with a flight department based at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. We operate a Bombardier Global 5000, Challenger 350, and Cessna Grand Caravan EX (Amphibian) with a seasonal base in Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador.

The primary responsibilities of the AME would include but not limited to the following:

Complete repairs, modifications and inspections in accordance with approved data sources and to the applicable standards of airworthiness.

Successfully complete Company�s AMO training and be able to hold and maintain certifying authority on the Company aircraft and certify maintenance performed in the aircraft logs and/or task cards; as per the applicable CARs.

Ensure that Aviation Health and Safety precautions are being observed on all assignments.

Ensure all components, parts and material to be installed are properly certified and in an airworthy condition.

Attend training sessions as assigned by the Director of Maintenance and maintain a current AME license as needed to continue to hold certifying authority.

Assist with the completion of stores functions including ordering, shipping/receiving and inventory control.

Always adhere to the policies and procedures of the Company�s MPM/MCM/COM.

Participate in the Company�s Safety Management System and notify the Director of Maintenance of any safety hazard or non?compliance.

Assist with the regular detailing of the aircraft.

Assist passengers to and from the aircraft in a professional manner.

Marshall and move aircraft before and after flights.

We are seeking candidates with:

Current Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License with M1 and M2 ratings.

Experience performing maintenance on jet and turbo prop aircraft.

Ability to work alone as well as within a small team.

Ability to travel as needed and occasionally support the Goose Bay maintenance base during the summer flying season.

Ability to learn new skills quickly and respond to verbal instructions.

Ability to work effectively with little or no supervision.

Reporting to the Director of Environmental Services, the preferred candidate works as part of the Maintenance team to operate and maintain all hospital mechanical equipment such as boilers, chillers, compressors, generators, refrigeration units, HVAC and building systems in accordance with CSA Standards, Building and Fire Codes and related legislated requirements. In addition, duties include the operation and maintenance of air handling units, pumps, appliances and other equipment along with other general maintenance duties throughout the hospital.

Key Duties and Responsibilities Include:

- Troubleshoots operating problems, inspect reported damage to various systems, plumbing lines and fixtures; piping, heating, cooling and ventilating systems; mechanical patient care support services and wheeled equipment, etc.

- Maintains and services water systems (e.g., tests, analyses and logs pumps, converters, heat reclamation system, and piping).

- Remove and replace parts (e.g., pipes, valves, sight glasses, safety valves, pumps, packing and mechanical seals).

- Performs daily boiler chemical tests, calculates impurities, mixes chemicals, adds chemicals as necessary.

- Monitors and maintains pneumatic control system.

- Read gauges on various pieces of equipment, verifying and recording the readings, prepares shift reports.

- Monitor and respond to plant alarms.

- Various grounds keeping including clearing driveways and sidewalks of snow, operating a tractor as required, and hospital waste disposal.

- Carries out minor sheet metal fabrication and installation for repairs of equipment and ducts using oxy-acetylene and electric arc welding equipment.

- Ensuring the preventative maintenance of the hospital's buildings, utility systems, equipment and grounds including responsibility for renovations and structural changes to the hospital.

- Hospital fire prevention and fire safety.

- Liaise with outside contractors, vendors and inspectors.

- Routine carpentry to maintain building and furnishings and assembles, installs and relocates mechanical equipment.

- Repairs or replaces, according to building codes, Canadian Standards Association (CSA) regulations on equipment, underwriters regulations and other applicable codes in the care and maintenance of hospital equipment.

The successful candidate will have:

- A minimum of a 4th class license.

- Recent related working experience in an Institutional or Health Care setting is an asset.

- Minimum 2-3 years� experience in operation and maintenance of various building equipment and systems, Building Automation Systems (BAS).

- Ability to read schematics.

- Boilers/ chillers/ H.V.A.C. experience preferred.

- Demonstrated ability to repair and maintain various types of equipment hospital infrastructure and systems.

- Ability to work various shifts and a rotating on-call schedule.

- Training in Occupational Health & Safety and WHMIS.

- Valid Class G driver�s license.

- C.P.R. certification required.

- Fluency in both official languages is an asset
