JD:

-Work with the cross-functional leadership team to prioritize plant needs, ensure weekly maintenance scheduled work is planned and manage day-to-day maintenance support to the plan.

-Supervise, coach, mentor, train and develop maintenance and engineering employees creating collaborative and engaged teams.

-Daily facility walk-around to check equipment conditions and review equipment inspection schedule with operations and shipping/receiving.
-In collaboration with Operations Manager, lead shutdown planning, review all pending inspections prior to shutdown and conduct daily formal meeting with operations and maintenance team during shutdown periods.
-Site champion for the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
-Lead plant reliability improvement in conjunction with ISO 9000certification.
-Preventive and predictive maintenance

-Manage all project Maintenance expenditures and set, monitor and manage maintenance budgets.

-Health, Safety and Environmental review of daily work and projects.

Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of our facilities in Woodbridge. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), mechanical, electrical, and electronics systems. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for creating/implementing preventative maintenance plans, troubleshooting equipment issues, sourcing alternative parts, and ensuring a rapid response to equipment failures. The individual must demonstrate strong leadership skills and be capable of managing a team to maintain the smooth operation of our facility.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all maintenance activities within the facilities.
• Utilize CMMS to plan, schedule, and track maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and implement preventive maintenance measures.
• Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronics systems to diagnose and resolve equipment failures promptly.
• Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to source alternative parts and materials as needed.
• Develop and maintain relationships with equipment manufacturers and service providers to stay updated on technological advancements and best practices.
• Plan and Co-ordinate new equipment installation with multi-disciplinary team.
• Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards in all maintenance activities.
• Prepare reports on maintenance activities, including equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance costs, for management review.
• Work with multi-disciplinary team to develop and manage maintenance budgets, minimize downtime, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Millwright license is mandatory.
• Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) software.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronics systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve equipment failures.

Busy, family-owned management company in the Fraser Valley is looking for an experienced resident Maintenance Manager for a brand new 192-unit rental complex located in Abbotsford, BC

Our Live-In Maintenance Manager is a company representative for all maintenance and operations for our residents and customers. Developing and maintaining the property to high standards and fostering good relationships with residents is the top priority.

Position Summary

As a Maintenance Manager your daily responsibilities would include:

• Ensuring the safety and security of the building and its residents through regular inspection and walk through.
• Building positive relationships with tenants, and promptly responding to their concerns;
• Ensuring and maintaining outstanding cleanliness at the buildings and the grounds;
• Performing suite and building repairs such as fixing leaky faucets, clearing drains, changing locks, minor drywall repair/patching, painting etc.;
• Trouble shooting and problem-solving unexpected emergencies.
• Daily rounds of the property inside and out to ensure security standards are met for residents.
• Working co-operatively with the Leasing Manager to ensure suites are ready to show soon after move outs have occurred and deficiencies attended to in quick order - ready for new move ins.

• Suite Inspections, Notices and other related inspections as required.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following background:

• Ability to manage customer expectations, provide outstanding customer service, and form effective, trustworthy relationships with a wide variety of people;
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
• Effective time management skills and the attitude for “making it happen” and “getting it done”
• Proven “handy-man” skills, including plumbing, minor electrical, drywall repair and painting
• Ability to understand and abide by the BC Residential Tenancy Act;

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Actively follow established maintenance programs for all Lodge buildings and associated equipment, as well as Lodge vehicles

· To assist in monitoring/controlling costs for labour, materials, and equipment

· To assist in hiring, scheduling, discipline, and training of Maintenance staff under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and Hotel Manager

· To work hands-on with the rest of the Maintenance team, assisting with equipment fixes, addressing guest room issues, dealing with any heat issues, drywall repair, painting, and other daily maintenance duties

· To maintain highest standards in winter snow removal, assisting by equipment or by hand when required

· Assis with overseeing Occupational Health & Safety for Maintenance team, and to ensure WHMIS compliance

· Ensure Maintenance Building and all related areas are clean, tidy, organized, and follow Health & Safety standards

· Participate in ongoing communication with all Departments to provide a cohesive team at the Lodge

· To sign in when shifts begin and sign out when they end

· Cover shifts for others on the schedule when necessary and be on site for emergencies and when contractors are present

· To attend all lodge meetings when necessary to represent the department

· To participate in cost savings, capital expenditures and to complete all necessary paperwork

· Arrive on time and groomed appropriately, observing dress code including appropriate footwear, as per CRMR Employee Handbook

Requirements/Experience:

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Must have driver’s license and clean drivers’ abstract (driving record)

· Willing to be a hands-on Manager, with very little time spent in an office (80% of the time is spent on day-to-day tasks, approximately 20% is spend on scheduling, preparing parts inventories, purchase orders, etcetera)

· Must be able to work independently and remain calm in the event of an emergency

· Must be familiar with operating firefighting systems

· Must know how to work safely with chemicals

· Must know how to work safely with power equipment

· Must be able to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting in all aspects of the hotel infrastructure

· Must have the ability to climb a ladder to fix light bulbs or to clear cabin roofs

The Heritage Inn Hotel & Convention Centre is looking to fill the role of a Maintenance Manager. The right candidate will supervise and coordinate all maintenance activities within the hotel. Ensure that safe work practices are being followed. Establish and follow a maintenance program for weekly, monthly and annual preventative maintenance on all equipment and the buildings. Keep a detailed log book on all daily activities and observations. Maintain a professional and pleasant attitude and provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.

Description of Duties:

• Coordinate daily activities and schedules of all maintenance staff, when applicable.
• Respond to guest concerns and complaints quickly and efficiently.
• Ensure that all maintenance requests are dealt with immediately.
• Ensure that all the interior and exterior areas of the hotel are kept clean and safe at all times.
• Order and pick up materials required to carry out repairs on the hotel equipment and buildings, with the General Manager’s approval.
• Ensure cleanliness and chemical upkeep of the pool and hot tub within Provincial Health and Safety regulations.
• Keep the maintenance shop organized and stocked with the minimum requirements of light bulbs, batteries and other basic maintenance items used on a regular basis.
• Keep boiler and electrical rooms clean, safe and unobstructed at all times.
• Keep all the hotel equipment in good and safe working order, and inform the General Manager of all deficiencies that could result in total break down of such equipment.
• Inform Front Desk staff immediately of all out of order guest rooms (OOO) and any current or upcoming maintenance projects that could jeopardize the comfort or safety of hotel guests.
• Obtain es, and when approved, coordinate the activities of outside contractors and repairmen.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned by the General Manager. Attend department head meetings as required.
