Qualifications:

Must be able to read an assembly drawing and written instructions.

Priority will be given to those candidates who have experience in working with small hand tools and assembling products.

Must have potential to advance and be willing to work extra hours as required by supervisor.

Basic computer skills and experience in assembling of lighting products would be an asset.

Must be able to lift 35 kg

EnQuest Energy Solutions is hiring for the position of Mechanical Assembler. The Mechanical Assembler will be required to perform skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance of oil and gas service equipment while, following all safety protocols and established workplace policies.

Job Duties

Read schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams.

Install or assemble any major or minor sub-assemblies in oil and gas service equipment.

Connect cables, tubes and wires to complete assemblies and installations.

Position and install parts, subassemblies and accessories using hand and power tools and other aids like overhead hoists.

Test electrical assemblies, equipment and wiring for proper performance using testing devices such as meters, analyzers, etc.

Clean and perform preparation of work-site.

Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.

Lubricate, clean, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.

Grind, scrape, sand, or polish surfaces using abrasive tools or machines.

Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

2 years of experience as an Assembler.

Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical experience is considered an asset.

Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.

Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

Effective verbal and listening communications skills.

Time management skills.

Ability to read schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams.

Commitment to quality and safety.
