Overview

The Operations Accounting Manager is responsible for reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. Duties AND Responsibilities

� Full-cycle accounting, financial statement preparation, month-end/year-end close including but cash, revenue and expenses

� Maintain the trial balance and general ledger and prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations

� Analyze financial information and summarize financial status

� Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting and financial reporting processes and lead in the implementation

� Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending

� Provide technical support and advice for finance team and others

� Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures

� Liaise with auditors to ensure timely completion of audit and mid-year review

� Review work performed by other members of the Finance team

� Support month-end and year-end close process

� Liaise with Financial Controller to improve financial procedures

� Perform other duties as required

Qualifications AND Experience

� Post-secondary degree/diploma in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration

� Accounting designation (or working towards) is an asset

� Minimum of 3 to 5 years� experience in an accounting environment

� 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory/management role is an asset

� Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures

� In-depth understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

� Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process

� Accuracy and attention to detail

� Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

� Excellent communication skills with fluency in English

� Hands-on experience with Dynamics NAV is an asset

The Role:
