Dental Receptionist

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. Saturday's are a must. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, patient records, and administrative tasks with professionalism and efficiency. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth patient experience and supporting the overall operations of our dental office.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming environment.
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and confirm patient visits.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems such as Cleardent/ Tracker.
  • Verify patient insurance information and process billing using dental office management software.
  • Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting payments and updating patient information.
  • Coordinate with dental staff to ensure timely appointment scheduling and patient flow.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
  • Ensure the front desk area remains organized, clean, and professional at all times.
  • Assist with patient education regarding treatment plans and post-treatment care instructions.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist preferred. Must be able to work Saturday's.
  • Proficiency with dental management software such as Cleardent, experience with electronic medical records is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism.
  • Office experience with administrative responsibilities including scheduling, billing, and data entry.
  • Familiarity with front desk operations in a dental or medical setting.
  • Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Previous experience working with dental or medical office equipment is advantageous.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
