Key responsibilities:
- Preparing instructional materials relevant to the course being taught.
- Instructing/teaching.
- Marking/grading of exams and assignments online etc.
- Providing constructive feedback to students.
- Monitoring and participating in discussion forums online.
- Frequently interacting with students online.
Qualifications:
- Master's, Ph.D. or Ph.D. candidate preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in the English language required.
- Background/specialization in subject area required.
- Demonstrated competence in post-secondary teaching required. Instructional experience in E-learning or online teaching preferred.
- Advanced knowledge and skills using computers, mobile devices, virtual classroom software.
- Empathetic approach to the instructional needs and concerns of students learning at a distance is required.
- Previous teaching in the subject area or related area would be an asset.
