Patients from across North America choose Healthcode because of our integrated approach to care, centered around three core pillars: Prevention and Early Detection, Optimizing Health and Wellness, and Extending Lifespan and Healthspan. By combining clinical expertise, advanced diagnostics, and personalized treatment plans, we provide comprehensive care designed to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

Summary

We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Part-Time Sonographer to join our growing clinical team. In this role, you will perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, support physicians with diagnostic imaging, and provide an exceptional patient experience throughout each stage of the examination process.

As part of our interdisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that combines advanced technology with a patient-centred approach to preventative and functional medicine.

  • Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Follow established scan protocols and liaise with the interpreting physician as required.
  • Dual certification in ultrasound and echocardiography is considered an asset.

Equipment & Quality Assurance

  • Operate, maintain, and monitor ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Process, archive, and manage diagnostic images within the PACS system while maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Perform equipment checks and report any maintenance or operational concerns promptly.

Infection Prevention & Safety

  • Perform cleaning, disinfection, and high-level disinfection of equipment in accordance with clinic policies, procedures, and applicable infection prevention standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe examination environment for both patients and staff.
  • Adhere to all clinical, safety, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Team Collaboration & Administrative Support

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the clinic by assisting with team initiatives and administrative tasks as required.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, protocol updates, and ongoing training.
  • Assist with ordering supplies, maintaining documentation, filing, and other operational responsibilities that contribute to effective team performance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • Current registration and certification with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations is preferred.
  • Experience with PACS and electronic medical record systems is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centred approach to care.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Dual certification in ultrasound and echocardiography is considered an asset.
