JOB SUMMARY – What will you do?

Under general supervision of and reporting to the National Director, Crossing Guard Division, the Service Delivery Manager is responsible for providing day to day support to the operations of crossing guard program.

Specific Duties

  • Plan, coordinate and monitor all day-to-day activities in collaboration with the team and respond to/investigate and resolve operational issues
  • Maintain Crossing Guard schedules to ensure the provision of sufficient, qualified, properly trained/certified personnel to perform the required services
  • Establish standardized, formal processes and procedures and review on ongoing basis
  • Establishing and implementing a system of monitoring, auditing, tracking, recording and reporting service delivery performance/quality assurance against established Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
  • Provide coaching, support and guidance to all divisional support & front line staff
  • Conduct ongoing evaluations to ensure performance standards are met on a regular basis.
  • Training new and existing crossing guards as required
  • Enforce operations policies and procedures in a fair and impartial manner.
  • Preparing and reviewing non-conformance reports for all incidents, complaints or deficiencies discovered that affect the delivery of service
  • Attending and participating in Security Meetings, operational coordination meetings/briefings and any other security working groups/committees established
  • Make recommendations for improvement to increase the effectiveness of the service delivery of the overall crossing guard program
  • Assist with planning & coordination of engagement and retention programs for the crossing guards
  • Lead and participate in townhall meetings on a regular basis
  • Participating in HR and Administrative functions such as recruitment, discipline, training and skills development
  • Closely work with the Operations Support Team to create/adjust schedules to ensure contractually obligated services are met
  • Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities across target markets.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE – What you will bring?

  • Hold a valid Ontario G-class license with a clean abstract.
  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in the security industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate proven supervisory/leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability in preparing and maintaining clear, concise, and legible security reports and detailed records.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and customer-service skills, including conflict resolution, problem-solving, decision making, situational assessment and communication skills
  • Must be willing to travel to different crosswalks in the assigned zone (approximately 50% of time)
  • Articulate, professional and able to communicate in clear, positive manner with clients and staff
  • Must be able to complete police vulnerable check.
