Full job description

Meinhardt Fine Foods is Western Canada’s culinary destination. Our goal is to serve up a line of delicious freshly prepared foods, and compelling signature items, all delivered in a fresh and entertaining environment where you will want to “feed your curiosity”.

Meinhardt Fine Foods has been a vibrant part of South Granville since 1996 and boasts some of the best olive oils in the city, a large take-out deli, along with all kinds of unique items sourced from around the world.

We are currently seeking a Part-time Pastry Cook based out of South Granville location in Vancouver, BC.

Qualifications & skills required:

  • Formal pastry and baking diploma preferred
  • Food Safe certification an asset
  • Strong pastry background with one year work experience
  • Ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Good time management and organization

Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Production, finishing and display of a variety of pastries, cakes, bars, cookies, muffins etc. for retail store sales and catering orders
  • Following detailed verbal and written directions such as daily task sheets and ordering guides
  • Control and maintain records of inventory
  • Follow health and safety regulations for food preparation
  • Standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 50 lb
