COMPANY OVERVIEW

Canada Keli New Technology Development Ltd. is a growing industrial services company supporting the oil & gas industry through fabrication, construction, maintenance, and project execution. Our Nisku fabrication shop supports field operations by providing fabrication, material preparation, equipment management, and project support in a fast-paced environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Shop Administrator to provide day-to-day administrative support for our Nisku fabrication shop.

This position is responsible for maintaining smooth daily office operations, supporting shop personnel, coordinating vendors, managing documentation, processing timesheets, purchasing office supplies, welcoming visitors, and ensuring the shop office remains organized and efficient.

Candidates with previous experience in an oil & gas, fabrication shop, industrial construction, or manufacturing environment are strongly preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process employee timesheets and maintain accurate attendance records.
  • Coordinate weekly timesheet collection and follow up on missing information.
  • Purchase office supplies, PPE, and other administrative materials as required.
  • Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy filing systems.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, mail, and office documentation.
  • Welcome visitors, contractors, clients, and delivery personnel.
  • Answer telephone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
  • Coordinate shop office activities and provide administrative support to shop management.
  • Coordinate vendors for shop support services, including:
  • Potable water service
  • Portable washrooms
  • Waste bins and garbage removal
  • Office cleaning
  • General facility services
  • Monitor service schedules and communicate with suppliers to ensure uninterrupted shop operations.
  • Assist with purchase orders, invoices, and vendor documentation when required.
  • Maintain office inventory and coordinate deliveries.
  • Support onboarding paperwork and administrative records for new employees.
  • Assist with meeting preparation, document printing, scanning, filing, and general office administration.
  • Coordinate communication between the Nisku shop and Calgary office.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or certificate in Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in an industrial environment.
  • Previous experience in oil & gas, fabrication shops, construction, maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial operations is highly preferred.
  • Experience processing employee timesheets is an asset.
  • Experience coordinating vendors and facility services is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams).
  • Experience with ERP systems or document management systems is considered an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence is an asset.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This is a full-time, on-site position based at our fabrication shop in Nisku, Alberta.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with shop supervisors, project teams, vendors, and the Calgary office.
  • PPE will be required when entering shop areas.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Work Location: In person
