Full job description

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and practical lessons for Medical Office Administration students.
  • Teach topics including:
  • Medical Office Procedures
  • Medical Terminology
  • Anatomy & Physiology
  • Medical Documentation
  • Medical Transcription
  • Medical Billing Procedures
  • Clinical Procedures
  • Professional Communication
  • Prepare lesson plans, presentations, assignments, quizzes, and other learning materials.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Support students in developing the knowledge and skills required for medical office environments.
  • Maintain accurate student attendance, grades, and academic records.
  • Create a professional, respectful, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Communicate with the academic/admin team regarding student progress and course requirements.
  • Support students during their practicum/work-experience preparation when required.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Medical Office Administration, Health Administration, Healthcare, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional experience in a medical office, clinic, hospital, or healthcare environment.
  • Previous teaching or training experience is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, office procedures, documentation, and administrative practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience working with international students is an asset.
  • Ability to teach effectively in English.
  • Familiarity with online learning platforms and Microsoft Office is an asset.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
