Summary

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team at Gentell. The Production Supervisor focuses on supervising daily production activities to achieve targets and positive labor and material usage variances. Works closely with other departments, i.e. Quality and Engineering, to ensure a safe work environment and provide high quality products and complies with internal requirements, good manufacturing and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and supervise daily/weekly production plans to ensure customers’ demands are met while ensuring strict compliance with internal SOPs, GMPs and safety practices.
  • Supervise staff to produce and manufacture products and organize and monitor workflows.
  • Develop and complete operating reports of production activities for financial analysis and managing purposes.
  • Complete the shift line monitoring of daily operations’ activities to track production efficiency, ensure set KPIs are met.
  • Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries i.e. completing work order reconciliation, raw material usage and return etc.
  • Recruit, select, onboard, train and mentor production employees. Handle disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Coordinate closely with the Logistics Department to ensure raw materials’ needs are met.
  • Coordinate closely with the Engineering and Maintenance Department to ensure operation of equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Conduct monthly safety meeting and discussion to promote workplace safety culture and maintain “ZERO” LTA.
  • Facilitate LEAN discussion with production employees to promote awareness and to encourage people’s engagement.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Works flexible hours including after office hours and weekends as required.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Engineering, Math or Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, etc.)
  • Equivalent 3-5 years supervisory experience in a regulated industry, preferably Medical Device Industry.
  • Technical aptitude (i.e. able to read and comprehend technical documentation, ability to comprehend and execute procedures, demonstrated understanding of system documentation).
  • Knowledge of statistical sampling and analysis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both written and oral).
  • Familiar with the MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Visio and Project.
  • Must be able to always observe company policies and safety procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment.
  • Must be able to treat others with respect; work with integrity and ethically; uphold organizational values.
