This position is located at our sales and service dealership in Langley, BC.

THE OPPORTUNITIES

The Accounts Payable Clerk – Parts will have the primary responsibility of coding, processing, and approving parts department payables in a timely manner.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounts Payable Duties:

  • Manages all incoming packing slips and parts invoices
  • Matches packing slips and purchase orders to parts invoices to process
  • Processes invoices
  • Codes parts invoices and sends forward for approval
  • Posts invoices
  • Manages vendor return schedule and other management schedules as assigned
  • Reconciles vendor statements with accounts payable ledger and follows up on outstanding items
  • Sends vendor database changes to head office
  • Answers all vendor inquiries

Other Duties:

  • Processes re-billing to other Inland dealerships and warranty credits for customers
  • Processes journal vouchers for warranty and credit departments (in some branches)
  • Backup for other administrative positions as directed by manager (AP Clerk, Reception, etc.)
  • Maintains professional appearance and neat work area
  • Becomes familiar with and complies with the company’s Health & Safety Manual
  • File paperwork as necessary
  • Other duties may be assigned

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Basic post-secondary accounting education required, certificate or diploma preferred
  • One to three years related experience in Accounts Payable
  • Good basic accounting knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite products, with Intermediate level skill in Excel
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Great written and verbal communication, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Inventory management knowledge is an asset.

PAY RANGE

The pay range for this position is between $53,000 – $60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
