We are looking for a talented, experienced, dedicated Unlicensed Mechanic

As an important member of maintenance team, the primary responsibilities are to support the Company’s production activities providing technical support by maintaining, repairing, setting-up, cleaning, performing machine adjustments and operating all mechanical equipment pertaining to production equipment including but not limited to packaging equipment and is responsible for mechanical performance of the production lines.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with line set up as needed.
  • Respond to calls during the shift to fix or adjust production equipment within bakery manufacturing environment
  • Conduct preventative maintenance as scheduled.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems, provide quick and innovative solutions.
  • Assist in the installation of production equipment and improvements to equipment.
  • Complying with safe lock-out procedures, impact assessment of any repair and repair work order documents.
  • Monitor and advise management and mechanic lead-hand regarding low stock for critical spare parts and consumable inventory items.
  • Design and execute continuous improvement projects with a focus on improving safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Complete GMP documents right first time in batch records and other relevant GMP documents.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1 year experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably in food manufacturing
  • Solid troubleshooting capability.
  • Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety, Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
  • Knowledge of food safety and security while working in compliance with all GMP, food and safety policies, and HACCP regulations.

Various shifts available across plants in Etobicoke, Vaughn & Brampton.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$26.00 per hour

Experience:
