I found myself in constant financial trouble as they would lay me off seemingly every few months, sometimes a week on and off, you can never get ahead financially working here. Also found myself slipping into a deep depression because the workplace is so toxic with bullying, horrible management, and disgusting food which left my bowels in dispare.
They should learn how to do their jobs properly and actually act like a leader rather than someone who sits in an office and points what to do with no knowledge of how your job is done or how much it takes to complete your job. They should also follow their own rules such as no tolerance for stealing or bullying, as people would drink on job, steal from fridges or customers, and bully with no repercussions
Unaware of how terrible it is and how depressed and underappreciated I would feel. It's easy to get a job here because they are desperate for any "body who will work" there. Quoted from a manager.
They expect you do do the job of 4 people on your own and get mad when you cant complete it, they make you work through breaks, guilt trip you if you call in sick because you are the only one for the job, they dont appreciate you, and the workplace is so negative with everyone talking bad about one another, management let employees bully which includes bullying customers, very not ok and a horrible place
What advice would you give the CEO of Aramark about how to improve the company?
Literally treat all your employees better. Pay is garbage, benefits are ok (the one good thing here) you get harassed when you phone in sick and get told to take “medicine” (which I’m pretty sure is a huge HR issue) there are people in certain roles who literally bully and harass staff and nothing ever gets done about it, there is no such thing of a work life balance at ALL! Management is corrupt and unsupportive and most situations are just shoved under the rug and forgotten about. I have never had a job that has pushed me to a point where I do not want to ever work for them again. And I am actively searching for more work. Do yourself a favour and just don’t work for Aramark.
