About us:

The Royal Vancouver Yacht Club (RVYC) is one of the world's premier yacht clubs and one of the finest in Vancouver. Our mission is to promote yachting, seamanship, and fellowship among current members and those who share our values of tradition, sportsmanship, and community service, among many others. Our philosophy at RVYC is to provide excellent Member & Guest services in all that we do.

We are seeking a Dock Attendant to join our historical Jericho Marina team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • General cleaning & maintenance
  • Assisting in all construction projects
  • Responding to emergencies in accordance with the Emergency Response Plan
  • General Maintenance of club work boats
  • Safe operation of work boats and towing of vessels
  • Assist with marina event preparations
  • Observing & reporting potential hazards to immediate supervisor
  • Assisting members with day-to-day operations at the marina
  • Additional duties as required

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Positive, team player who can work independently and within a team environment
  • Able to stand and work for long periods of time in all weather
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Friendly and able to build relationships with our members and staff
  • experience in boat operation, power tools, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, customer service preferred
  • Must be available on weekends and for holiday coverage if required

Requirements & Qualifications:
