Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers to provide essential care and assistance to individuals in their homes. This role is vital in promoting the well-being, independence, and comfort of clients with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and various mobility issues. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to make a positive impact on people's lives through attentive caregiving and support.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming to promote independence and dignity
  • Provide patient care including mobility assistance, medication administration, and health monitoring as needed
  • Support with meal preparation and feeding to ensure proper nutrition
  • Help with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to clients to enhance their quality of life
  • Assist with mobility when necessary to prevent injury
  • Follow care plans accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams

Qualifications

  • Experience in PSW work
  • Strong caregiving skills combined with compassion and patience
  • Basic understanding of medication administration and meal preparation
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Certification in caregiving or relevant training is a plus but not mandatory
  • Must be reliable, empathetic, and committed to providing high-quality support to clients
