Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your role will involve engaging with customers, ensuring their satisfaction, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the café. If you have a love for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. The ideal candidate for this position has prior experience working in a fast-paced environment and is capable of multitasking effectively.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their orders.
  • Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately while ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment, following food safety guidelines.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies and notifying management when reordering is necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
  • Stay knowledgeable about menu items and promotions to effectively communicate with customers.

Experience

  • Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with cashiering and cash handling procedures is beneficial.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
  • Time management skills to efficiently manage multiple tasks during busy periods.
  • Knowledge of POS systems is a plus but can be learned on the job.

Requirements

  • 1 Year Barista Experience is required, Weekend availability is also required.
