We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mushroom Grower to join our team.

The Grower reports to Production Manager. The Mushroom Grower ensures all crop management requirements are met, optimizing production and quality while minimizing cost. Your main responsibilities include overseeing the Growing rooms and related equipment (boilers, chillers, generators, heating/cooling, belimos, etc.), ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently and analyzing crop data to implement successful growing strategies, as well as ensuring that all SQF and Safety Policies and Procedures are being followed and adhered to. The Growing Manager oversees all growing personnel and their related duties.

Requirements:

  • 5 - 10 years of relevant experience (mushroom preferred).
  • The ability to work at heights.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Flexible, Reliable.
  • Own transportation

Duties:

  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the computerized Growing room climate and watering system.
  • Responsible for ensuring all crop management requirements are met; optimize production and quality while minimizing cost.
  • Oversee the Growing rooms ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Review and prioritize all growing-related jobs.
  • Analyze crop data to implement successful growing strategies.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is completed on the climate and watering system.
  • Review production needs and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain daily communication with other necessary departments, providing them with daily/weekly Growing rooms updates.
  • Overseeing the Growing rooms and related equipment (boilers, chillers, generators, heating/cooling, belimos, etc.), ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Oversees all growing personnel and their related duties
