Full job description

Relief Pharmacist – South Okanagan Valley (Aug 20 – Oct 16)

Remember those New Year’s resolutions you set for 2026? The ones about changing your routine, seeking new experiences, and perhaps increasing your income to make the rest of the year easier?

Now is the time to move from planning to action.

Here’s an opportunity to refresh your year on your terms. We are seeking a Pharmacist for a targeted relief assignment in the beautiful South Okanagan Valley, BC, from late August through mid-October. This is a fantastic way to step away from daily routines, enjoy the final summer warmth in wine country, and return with a substantially increased bank account—all within a single concentrated, high-impact contract.

The Destination: South Okanagan Valley
Swap your city commute for scenic vineyard views and evenings by the lake. Outside work, you’ll have access to premier wineries, pleasant beaches, beautiful trails, and a calm desert ambiance that makes each day off a mini-vacation. Experience a tourist lifestyle while earning professional wages during the region's prime season.
The Commitment: August 20 – October 16, 2026 (approx. 8 weeks)
The Pay: Competitive, with a steady Monday-to-Friday schedule that leaves every weekend free for exploration.

What Makes This Role Stand Out:
Leave behind understaffed, chaotic settings. This is a manageable, community-oriented environment designed for pharmacists who wish to enjoy their shift.
  • Consistent Workload: Average of 150 prescriptions daily, allowing attentive patient care.
  • Specialized Services: Includes support for 10 methadone patients in a structured, well-supported environment.
  • Straightforward Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. No evenings, weekends, or overtime burnout.
  • User-friendly Technology: Familiar systems in place so you can begin smoothly.

Your Weekly Schedule:
A stable 40-hour work week with all evenings and weekends open for exploring Okanagan wineries, farmers' markets, and lakeside pathways. Though the contract is focused, your days off are entirely free for adventure.

Begin your 2026 resolution this August in the Okanagan.
There is only one vacancy for this contract period.
