In accordance with the University of Alberta and Association of the Academic Staff Collective Agreement 2020-2024 article 1.39 this position is excluded from the bargaining unit.

Location - This role is in-person at North Campus Edmonton.

The School of Dentistry has been educating students who wish to become oral health practitioners and championing the importance of oral health since 1917.

The Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry is one of the world’s top academic health science centres. With 21 departments, multiple research institutes and centres, and a focus on excellence in education, research, and clinical care, the faculty trains outstanding medical and dental professionals and drives global health innovation in collaboration with partners across sectors.

The School of Dentistry invites applications for Casual Part-Time Clinical Dental Assisting Instructors.

The responsibilities during the academic year are primarily focused on clinical teaching.

  • Applicants will have a Certificate in Dental Assisting from a recognized post-secondary institution. All applicants must be registered with or eligible to be registered with the College of Alberta Dental Assistants (CADA).
  • As this position is located on an Alberta Health Services (AHS) site, compliance with AHS workplace Health & Safety policies are in effect.
  • Clinical teaching experience is preferred.
