Position Titles:

Location:
Various sites across British Columbia under the Health Authorities and service delivery areas, including urban hospitals, community clinics, and rural/remote settings
Job Type: Independent Contractor

1. Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDRT)
Rate: $40 per hour
Summary:
Responsible for the cleaning, decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical and diagnostic medical equipment in accordance with infection prevention protocols and CSA standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate decontamination and sterilization equipment
- Inspect, assemble, and package surgical instruments and trays
- Ensure accurate documentation and instrument tracking
- Adhere to infection control and reprocessing guidelines
Qualifications:
- Graduation from a recognized Medical Device Reprocessing program
- CSA certification in Medical Device Reprocessing (or eligibility)
- Previous experience in acute or surgical settings is considered an asset
2. Ultrasound Technologist
Rate: $63 per hour

We are currently seeking experienced Ultrasound Technologists to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services across healthcare facilities in British Columbia. In this role, you will perform a wide range of sonographic examinations—including general, obstetrical, abdominal, and vascular ultrasound—to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. Working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, Ultrasound Technologists are responsible for acquiring and analyzing diagnostic images, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice. This role is vital to supporting timely, accurate, and patient-focused care in alignment with provincial healthcare quality and safety goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general, obstetrical, gynecological, abdominal, and vascular ultrasound examinations in accordance with clinical protocols and physician referrals.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists or referring physicians.
- Assess image quality and make necessary adjustments to ensure diagnostic accuracy.

3. Echocardiography Technologist

This role involves performing specialized cardiac ultrasound imaging (echocardiography) to assess heart structure and function in patients of all ages. Working within a multidisciplinary team and under the direction of a cardiologist, the Echocardiography Technologist acquires, analyzes, and documents high-quality diagnostic images to support the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular conditions. This position plays a critical role in providing safe, patient-centered, and timely cardiac care in alignment with provincial healthcare standards and quality initiatives.

- Perform transthoracic, stress, and contrast echocardiograms

The successful candidate will perform a range of nuclear medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals to support diagnostic, therapeutic, and research services. This role plays a critical part in the accurate detection and monitoring of disease, while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, calibrate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with provincial and federal regulations
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures (e.g., bone scans, cardiac scans, PET/CT) using gamma cameras, PET scanners, and hybrid imaging systems
- Monitor patients during and after procedures to assess safety and identify adverse reactions
- Ensure the accurate acquisition, processing, and analysis of diagnostic images
- Maintain patient records, imaging documentation, and radiopharmaceutical inventory logs
- Adhere to radiation safety and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging and radiation monitoring equipment
Qualifications:
- Education: Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program

6. CT Technologist

This position plays a vital role in delivering patient-centered care while meeting provincial imaging quality and safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CT scanners and perform routine and specialized procedures, including those requiring the use of contrast media.
- Ensure image quality through appropriate positioning, protocol selection, and adherence to technical standards.
- Monitor patients throughout the exam, assess for adverse reactions, and provide post-procedure care instructions.
- Follow all radiation safety guidelines and infection prevention protocols to protect patients and staff.
