Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Office Assistant, where your energetic and organized approach will be vital in delivering exceptional patient care and seamless office operations. In this role, you will be the friendly face at the front desk, managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, and ensuring the smooth flow of administrative tasks. Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out procedures with professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls accurately and efficiently
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments using electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Dentrix
  • Collect, verify, and update patient information while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy
  • Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence
  • Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts, updating medical terminology records, and managing documentation
  • Handle billing processes, insurance verifications, and payment collections with precision
  • Maintain a clean, organized front desk area to promote a welcoming environment for patients and visitors

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a receptionist or in a medical/dental office setting with strong office experience
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records system ACCURO
  • Knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and patients
  • Previous experience working with multi-line phone systems in a office environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage front desk responsibilities efficiently while providing excellent customer service
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in handling administrative duties
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
