We are hiring 1 part time position for the following schedule:

4 week rotation as follows:

Week 1: Tues 7AM-2PM, Fri 4:30-9:30PM, Sat 4:30-9:30PM, Sun 4:30-9:30PM

Week 2: Thurs 4:30-9:30PM, Fri 4:30-9:30PM

Week 3: Tues 4:30-9:30PM, Wed 4:30-9:30PM, Sat 7AM-2PM, Sun 7AM-2PM

Week 4: Mon 7AM-2PM, Thurs 4:30-9:30PM, Fri 4:30-9:30PM

Position Overview: The Personal Support Worker / Health Care Aide (PSW/HCA) provides skilled care to residents within the unit during the assigned shift. All work shall be done in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of the Home, Resident Bill of Rights, applicable legislation and regulations, corporate policies and procedures and collective agreements.

Key Accountabilities/Activities:

Residents:

· Deliver skilled care for all activities of daily living in accordance with corporate policy, physicians’ orders, established standards and recognized nursing practice.

· Assist the registered staff in diagnostic and therapeutic measures

· Document using Point Click Care all pertinent and emergent care needs in accordance with corporate policy and established standards.

· Provide a holistic, quality approach to resident care consistent with Shalom’s Mission, Vision, Values and the Resident Bill of Rights

· Assist with dining room set up and resident meal service as applicable

· Assist with resident showers, dressing, putting on support hose

· Provide laundry service as scheduled.
