Full job description

The Medical Transportation Coordinator/Receptionist will work under the direction and supervision of the Office Manager and will have the responsibility for the effective coordination of approved medical transportation for the members living on Lucky Man Cree Nation using Non-Insured Health Benefits policies and procedures. The Medical Transportation Coordinator/Receptionist will also be responsible for office reception and other clerical duties and is expected to maintain strict confidentiality and to be courteous and professional at all times. This Position will be based out of North Battleford Main office, however, travel to Poundmaker and Sweetgrass Health clinic will be required. A company vehicle will be provided for all work-related travel.

Qualifications

· Diploma from a recognized business college. Grade 12 and equivalencies with related work experience will be considered.

· Experience working in a team setting.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to utilize when assisting clients over the phone, social media, video conferencing, and Telehealth.

· Should have working knowledge of NIHB Policies and procedures.

· Strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential.

· Must be proficient with word processing and spreadsheets, and general office equipment.

· Demonstrated ability for attention to detail, thoroughness.

· Confidentiality is essential; the candidate must be capable of maintaining high levels of confidentiality

· Must provide a successful criminal record check with the vulnerable sector.

· Knowledge of and sensitivity to the First Nations language

· Previous working experience with First Nations people and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures.

· Must have a valid Class 5 driver's License
