Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic internal communication initiatives that connect employees to Securitas Canada’s purpose, values and transformation.
  • Design and deliver internal campaigns (e.g., Purpose, scholarships, recognition) in partnership with HR, EDI leads, Group functions and business leaders.
  • Create and edit clear, engaging and inclusive content for internal channels, including intranet articles, leader messages, videos and presentations.
  • Collaborate with local communications teams to ensure alignment, consistency and impact of internal messaging across Canadian markets.
  • Champion equity, diversity and inclusion by ensuring all communications and recognition programs reflect our Group Diversity Policy.
  • Design and run recognition initiatives that celebrate performance, living our values, and safety and service excellence, including promotion of Purpose Awards and other group-wide programs.
  • Collect and share success stories from teams and individuals, working with local marketing/communications to amplify them internally and, when appropriate, externally.
  • Support change communication efforts, helping employees understand and navigate organizational and business transformation.
  • Use data and feedback (e.g., open rates, clicks, participation, surveys) to measure communication and recognition impact and recommend improvements.
  • Contribute to the development and ongoing refinement of our internal tone of voice, editorial standards and communication guidelines.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing, HR or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5–7 years in corporate, internal or executive communications, public/media relations, inclusion and belonging and/or employee engagement
  • Strong English writing and editing skills, with examples of internal communications
  • Experience with employee recognition or engagement programs is an asset
  • Skilled storyteller who can bring our purpose, values and strategy to life
  • Comfortable partnering with leaders, HR, operations and global communications
  • Strong planning and organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Familiar with intranets, collaboration platforms and basic analytics
  • High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information and employee data
  • Proficient with emerging technologies and able to assess and implement new tools
  • Bilingual (English/French) preferred
