Company Overview

APX Landscaping & Nurseries Ltd. has been a trusted provider of green infrastructure maintenance since 1982. We serve government and commercial clients across Alberta, specializing in the upkeep of parks, trees, pathways, bioswales, and other natural assets, as well as light-industrial infrastructure such as snow and ice management services. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions that enhance outdoor environments year-round.

Job Summary

Are you someone who loves having fun and can handle the Alberta Winters? But wait, you won't be in the elements for long as you will be cozy in your single occupant, heated enclosed cab with a frontload snow brush. Looking for some extra money, or have another Part-time job that you can't get more hours at? If you said YES, then we at APX are looking for you!

A variety of duties such as the following but not restricted to will be maintained:

Responsibilities:

  • Operate a frontload snow brush.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Be your own motivator, you work solo.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience is considered an asset, but training will be provided.
  • Take direction both (verbal and written), learn and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Availability is very important. 24/7 operation, 12-hour shifts
  • HIGH Attentiveness, checking weather, on site ready
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform all other physical requirements
  • Class 5 Driver's License a requirement

Competencies:

  • You are representing the company APX at all times.
  • Eyes are always on you, watching what you are doing on the ground.
  • Excellent communication skills with team.
  • Interacting in a positive manner with service-related clients.
  • Working individually and as part of a team.
  • Awareness and knowledgeable about the safety regulations, rules and requirements.
  • High responsiveness to reporting.
  • Motivated and willingness to perform all aspects of the job thoroughly.
  • Responsible for maintaining the required areas.

Working Conditions: This position requires high attentiveness in all types of work, weather conditions like ice fog, blowing snow, snow drifts.
