Opportunity
MacEwan University is seeking an Information and Registration Assistant for a 24-month full-time non-recurring term opportunity with the School of Continuing Education.
Reporting to the Supervisor, SCE Student Administration, the Information and Registration Assistant serves as a first point of contact and support for all programs within the School of Continuing Education (SCE). You will be responsible for providing accurate and timely information about SCE’s course offerings and services, assisting students with registration, maintaining records with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality, and providing excellent and consistent customer service. You will also contribute to the efficient operation of the School by supporting various administrative processes, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for students and staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as the primary resource for prospective and current students seeking information about continuing education programs;
- Providing detailed explanations of course offerings, prerequisites, schedules, fees, and registration policies;
- Using the front-line virtual queuing system to track and manage in-person transactions;
- Creating a welcoming environment for students, instructors, and visitors to SCE and the Student Support Centre;
- Addressing and resolving registration or information-related issues promptly and effectively;
- Maintaining accurate and organized student records in compliance with data privacy regulations and university policies and procedures;
- Preparing and distributing class rosters, attendance sheets, and certificates of completion; and
- Completing data entry, cashiering, and processing for fee assessments and payments, registration transactions, student information changes, etc.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and confidence in navigating other computer programs; and
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions or another Student Information System is considered an asset.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a post-secondary diploma in administration, records management, or a similar focus.
- A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience, preferably within an academic or educational setting.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
