We are an integrated health system providing the full continuum of care to the six communities of the western James Bay coast with over 500 employees, physicians, and partners in care. As a health authority, you will work in a unique setting where you have the opportunity to care for patients in all phases of their life journey, in all areas of their health experience. Who You Are

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment of the hospital buildings, housing stock, related sites and grounds
  • Must be knowledgeable of safe maintenance practices, procedures and guidelines and applicable regulations such as WHMIS, EPA, etc.

What You’ll Do

  • Conducts a minimum of one meeting per month and provides the Minutes of Meeting within 3 business days to the Senior Manager of Facilities Operations
  • Ensure adequate staffing to meet operational requirements and maintain ongoing electronic schedule for your departments
  • Investigate and document on incident reports relating to your departments within the timeframes allotted
  • Ensures all records and statistics are kept complete and up to date and accurate
  • Adheres to the FNIHB-Non-Insured Health Benefits Medical Transportation Policy, Departmental Directives and Policies of Weeneebayko Area Health Authority
  • Submits reports to as required to the Senior Manager of Facilities Operations in a timely manner
  • Other clerical duties as assigned by Senior Manager of Facilities Operations
  • Other duties as may be required

What You Bring

  • Diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required
  • Or Skilled Tradesperson at a Journeyman level
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Commerce, Business, or Health Administration, or a willingness to obtain is strongly preferred
  • Professional Engineering designation or in progress is considered an asset
  • Five to seven years of leadership experience
  • G or G2 Driver’s License
  • Commitment to mentorship, coaching, and motivating teams
  • Ability to communicate in the local native Cree language is an asset

Salary: $114,309.00 - $136,675.50
