Passionate about creating authentic content that connects with people?
We are looking for a creative, social-first content creator who can capture authentic student experiences and turn them into engaging content that helps grow Keyin College’s social presence, strengthen our brand, and connect with prospective students.
This is a high-output, hands-on role focused on creating consistent, platform-native content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other digital channels. We value creativity, speed, authenticity, initiative, relationship-building, and strong social instincts.
About Keyin College
Keyin College is one of Newfoundland and Labrador’s leading post-secondary institutions, with over 40,000 graduates since 1980. As the province’s largest private college, we focus on career-driven education that prepares students with practical, in-demand skills.
As we continue to grow, we are investing in authentic, engaging content that better showcases student life, campus culture, programs, student success, and real career outcomes across our digital channels.
The Role
As a Social Media Content Creator, you will capture and create day-to-day social content across campuses, programs, events, and student experiences.
This role is focused on short-form video content, mobile-first/social-first execution, organic social engagement, fast-turnaround content creation, and authentic campus storytelling.
This is a highly visible and relationship-driven role. The successful candidate will be comfortable approaching students, and staff, identifying stories worth sharing, and helping bring Keyin’s brand, culture, and student experience to life through content. This role requires someone who can work independently, take initiative, and contribute ideas that support Keyin’s social media presence.
What You’ll Do
- Create and publish short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social platforms
- Capture authentic campus, classroom, student, instructor, and event content
- Proactively identify content opportunities across campuses, programs, events, and community initiatives
- Build relationships with students, instructors, staff, admissions, and marketing teams to support authentic storytelling
- Edit and post content quickly using tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Canva, or similar platforms
- Test trends, formats, and content ideas to improve engagement and reach
- Maintain a consistent content posting cadence across social channels
- Film longer-form content and turn it into short-form social clips
- Monitor content performance and use insights to recommend improvements
- Stay current with platform trends, audience behaviour, and creator best practices
What You Bring
- 1–3 years of experience in content creation, social media, digital marketing, communications, or a related field — or a strong portfolio of social content
- Experience creating short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of social media trends, platform behaviour, and audience engagement
- Ability to create high volumes of content quickly and independently
- Comfortable filming and editing content using mobile devices and lightweight equipment
- Experience with tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Canva, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable approaching and engaging with students, staff, instructors, and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Interest in using analytics, engagement data, and audience insights to improve content performance
- Experience in education, recruitment marketing, community engagement, or brand storytelling is considered an asset
What We Offer
- Purpose & Impact: Help tell meaningful stories that highlight student success, campus culture, and real career outcomes
- Collaborative Culture: Work closely with teams across marketing, admissions, academics, campuses, and leadership
- Dynamic Environment: Be part of a fast-paced, creative, and evolving workplace
- Comprehensive Benefits: Competitive compensation, extended health benefits, paid time off, and employee supports
