Full job description

Job Summary

Inuit TV is the Inuktut-language educational broadcaster for the Territory of Nunavut and serves 1.6 million subscribers across Canada. Our mission is to provide high quality Inuit language and cultural television to the people of Inuit Nunangat and Canada.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Producer to oversee the development and execution of multimedia projects, including video productions, digital content, and creative campaigns. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for visual storytelling. This role requires bilingual proficiency and expertise in various creative tools to ensure high-quality deliverables that align with strategic objectives.

Duties

- Work with Studios to Plan and Create original Television Content for Inuit TV

- Build out structure and hire personal for Television programs

- Create and Review Employee schedules and Television Program Budgets.

- Adhere to all necessary industry regulations

- Create a timeline of action items, deliverables, and deadlines

- Ensure that projects are aligned with the Mandate of Inuit TV

- Work with Crews to ensure a safe and productive work environment

- Raising funds on a project basis.

- Working with producer on scripts and project development

- Distribute filming tasks to crew members and actors

- secure filming locations

- Resolve any scheduling or logistical conflicts that delay filming

Requirements

-Inuktut language proficiency is an asset

-experience working in Television, Film and Media

-Experience Working on multiple projects as a lead

-Strong financial skills

-strong organizational and leadership skills

-An understanding of the Media industry

-detail-oriented

-communication skills

- Creative thinking

- Familiarity with marketing and promotion practices

-reliable and responsible

-ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

-able to work independently and in a team environment

This Position reports directly to the CEO.

Beneficiaries of any of the Inuit land claims agreements are encouraged to apply.

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:

  • Film making or television: 3 years (preferred)

Language:

  • Inuktut (preferred)
