Company Overview

Barber Collins Security Services Ltd. is a security service provider that has been serving Southwestern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area since 1980. We pride ourselves on our commitment to our employees and our focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

Description

Barber Collins security is looking for two part time Security Guard to work in St. Jacob's. The guard will have the responsibility of conducting the employee entrance.

Access to your own personal vehicle will be mandatory for this position.

These are existing vacancies.

Shifts (hours are not negotiable):

Position 1:

Saturday and Sunday from 10 pm to 6 am

  • Every weekend
  • Night shift
  • 8 hour shift

Position 2:

Saturday and Sunday from 2 pm to 10 pm

  • Every weekend
  • Afternoon shift
  • 8 hour shift

Responsibilities:

  • Signing in/out employees using the computer system that is established.
  • Will also be asked to conduct regular foot patrols as required.
  • Monitor CCTV cameras, etc.
  • Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
  • Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
  • Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
  • Access control for the facility/area.
  • Ensuring that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies.
  • Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.

Skills:

  • Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
  • Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field.
  • Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
  • Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
  • Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
  • Integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones.
  • Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
