Overview

We are looking for a permanent full-time Registered Practical Nurse with a desire for- and experience working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment. Position Summary:

Under direction of the physicians and clinical team, the Registered Practical Nurse will provide patient oriented care in accordance with the standards of care from the College of Nurses of Ontario. To accommodate our patients, the ability to speak fluently in any second language is not required, however, is an asset for serving our diverse patient population

Main Responsibilities:

• Complete brief history of clients, anticipate and ensure equipment for client visit is set up in room.
• Screen and assess clients according to established protocols.
• Perform direct nursing care (e.g. dressing of wounds, injections, suture /clip removal and assisting with other procedures as requested).
• Perform necessary clinical functions to facilitate delivery of comprehensive primary care and patient flow.
• Maintain accurate health records and up to date clinical notes in accordance with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Effectively communicates to patients and team in a respectful manner.
• Adhere to strict privacy and confidentiality policies.
• Complete tasks as assigned by physicians and/or clinical research team.

Qualifications:

• RPN Designation and current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Recent experience providing practical nursing care.

Skills:

• Ability to type on keyboard and use basic word program, email and EMR.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Phone, email and conversation etiquette.
• Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new programs and equipment.
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision.
• Phlebotomy is an asset
• Dermatology clinic experience is an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
