Overview

Join our dynamic team as a cook and become a vital part of delivering exceptional food experiences! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving authentic Chinese meals like Sichuan or Dongbei recipes, ensuring food safety standards are met, and providing excellent customer service. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where guests feel valued and satisfied. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision and care, adhering to established Chinese recipes and presentation standards
  • Serve food to customers efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Handle food safely by following proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
  • Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning meals
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations and kitchen equipment, to ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple tasks seamlessly and staying organized
  • Follow all safety protocols related to food industry standards to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

Experience

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with kitchen operations
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, meal assembly processes and Sichuan cuisine or other types of Chinese cuisine
  • Hands-on experience with food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met
  • Strong understanding of kitchen safety practices, including proper use of utensils, equipment, and sanitation measures
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments where multitasking and teamwork are essential
  • Familiarity with the food industry’s best practices for serving, meal preparation, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
