Full job description

Position Summary

We are hiring experienced Waiters/Servers for hospitality clients across the GTA and Durham Region. We are seeking customer-focused, reliable professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional guest service in restaurants, hotels, banquet halls, convention centres, clubs, and event venues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately.
  • Serve food and beverages according to service standards.
  • Set up, maintain, and clear dining tables.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining areas and service stations.
  • Assist with banquet, buffet, and event service.
  • Follow food safety and health & safety procedures.
  • Process payments using POS systems when required.
  • Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
  • Perform opening, closing, and side duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 6 months to 2 years of serving experience.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, banquet halls, clubs, convention centres, or catering/event venues preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and carry serving trays.
  • Flexible to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Good English communication skills.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is an asset.
  • Previous serving experience is required.
  • Smart Serve Certification is an asset (or required by client).
  • Food Handler Certification is an asset.
