Full job description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team in a bustling restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and be knowledgeable about kitchen operations.

Duties:
Prepare and cook menu items, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner options.

- Follow recipes and presentation specifications to maintain consistency.

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.

-Assist with menu planning and development, focusing on comfort foods and seasonal dishes.

- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and stocking supplies.

- Work collaboratively with kitchen and serving staff to ensure timely and efficient service.

- Receive and inspect deliveries to ensure quality and quantity meet club standards.

- Assist in training and supporting junior kitchen staff.

- Accommodate special dietary requests and food allergies as needed.

Qualifications:

- Must have valid mode of transportation.

- Previous experience as a cook in a similar setting is an asset (country club, casual dining, etc.).

- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Good communication and teamwork skills.

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand for long periods.

- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs).

- Manual dexterity to operate kitchen equipment.
