Position Profile: Restaurant General Manager

Position Overview

Rothesay Holdings Ltd., operating as Church’s Texas Chicken, is seeking a motivated, reliable, and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead restaurant operations, develop the team, maintain brand standards, and deliver excellent guest experience. The Restaurant General Manager reports directly to the Market Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • · Lead, coach, train, and motivate restaurant team members.
  • · Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and professional service.
  • · Maintain high standards of food quality, food safety, cleanliness, and customer service.
  • · Support sales growth, profitability, and overall operational performance.
  • · Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures, food-safety standards, and brand standards.
  • · Manage scheduling, staffing, labour controls, inventory, cash handling, and daily shift operations.
  • · Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
  • · Build a positive, respectful, and productive work environment.
  • · Complete administrative reports, workplace-safety requirements, incident reporting, and other operational tasks.
  • · Review operational results and key performance indicators, identify opportunities, and implement action plans.
  • · Take ownership of restaurant targets, including sales, labour, food costs, waste, cash controls, and profitability.
  • · Provide feedback, recognition, coaching, and corrective action to support employee development and accountability.

Qualifications

  • · Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience required; quick-service restaurant experience is preferred.
  • · Strong leadership, communication, organizational, customer-service, and problem-solving skills.
  • · Knowledge of food-safety standards and restaurant operations; valid certification or willingness to obtain it.
  • · Ability to manage staff, schedules, sales targets, and operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • · Reliable, professional, and committed to high-performance standards.
  • · Ability to stand for extended periods and perform bending, reaching, and lifting duties required in restaurant operations.
  • · Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational requirements.
  • · Willingness to work at, transfer to, or be temporarily assigned to Company-operated locations within British Columbia, within a reasonable geographic area.

Compensation and Benefits

  • · Annual salary of $54,600, paid bi-weekly by direct deposit.
  • · Eligibility for Company-funded extended health and medical benefits, subject to the plan’s eligibility requirements and waiting period.
  • · Eligibility to participate in the Company’s Management Bonus Program, subject to program terms and performance requirements.
  • · Eligibility to receive a gas allowance in accordance with Company policy.
  • · Two weeks of paid vacation per year, accrued in accordance with Company policy and the British Columbia Employment Standards Act.
