The Systems Execution Planner is responsible for overseeing all restaurant‑level forecasting and system configuration activities that support new product launches, sales tests, and limited‑time promotions. This role ensures that promotional initiatives are accurately planned and documented, properly set up in operational systems, and continuously optimized throughout their lifecycle.

The Planner serves as a key link between translating strategy promotional planning and successful system process execution. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and possess a disciplined approach to processes and systems, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.

The position reports directly to the Execution Planning Team Lead and collaborates closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure promotional readiness, accuracy, and performance visibility.

Position Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Menu & Recipe Setup: Accountable for menu items and recipe configuration in JDA for assigned promotions and menu revisions at the restaurant level.
  • Restaurant Allocations: Manage allocations and promotional settings to restaurants, ensuring no exposure at the time of Promotion Launch while balancing space and spend constraints.
  • Recipe Governance: Perform checks and balances across all required recipes, recipe factors, and effective/discontinuation dates.
  • Exclusion List Management: Maintain restaurant‑level exclusion lists by product for specific promotions and launches.
  • Safety Stock & WRIN Setup: Implement and maintain restaurant safety stock levels for unique new WRINs across all markets.
  • Post‑Launch System Maintenance: Establish history, adjust forecasts, and update system settings for LTOs, product exits, and reintroductions.
  • Performance Tracking: Track promotional performance by market and restaurant for all programs in the McDonald’s marketing calendar.
  • Promotional Summary Reporting: Set up and execute Promotional Summary reports for assigned programs and drive continuous improvement.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Maintain ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution readiness.
  • Product Supply Alignment: Partner with Supply Chain planners and Demand Planning Team to raise awareness of forecast anomalies and drive immediate system adjustments.
  • Limited Supply Coordination: Work closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure settings are in alignment for limited‑supply items.
  • Order Amendment Oversight: Accountable for forecast amendments, performance reporting and restaurant closing stock positions.
  • Yield Assessments — Conduct yield assessments and collaborate with the Supply Planning Promotional Lead and McDonald’s Supply team as needed.
  • Cannibalization & Core Trade‑Offs — Align with Supply Planning and ROP planners on cannibalization impacts and core product trade‑offs.
  • Forecast Adjustments: Manage market and restaurant promotional forecast changes within JDA post‑launch.
  • Program Post‑Reviews: Conduct post‑program review analysis to drive forward‑looking performance improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to enhancements in systems, tools, processes, and team capabilities.
  • Training & Documentation: Establish and maintain training materials and user guides.
  • Kompass System Development: Support Kompass, SCOPE system enhancements, identify opportunities, and participate in UAT testing for new functionality.
  • Support Weekend On Call Coverage: Support Team with on-call weekend coverage.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the Supply Chain field or related education preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation capabilities.
  • Comfortable working in a highly cross‑functional environment with diverse stakeholders.
  • Self‑motivated with strong problem‑solving abilities and advanced data‑mining skills.
  • Effective priority and time management; able to act with urgency when needed.
  • Experience with supply chain planning tools such as JDA, JDE, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
  • Strong team player with the ability to build collaborative working relationships.
  • Excellent organization and time‑management skills; able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop strong cross‑functional partnerships and influence outcomes.
