About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Commercial Roofing Service Manager to lead our service department. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for driving profitability, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring safe, high-quality roofing repairs and maintenance on commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead, train, and supervise the service department team (technicians, foremen, and support staff)

· Generate sales through customer relationships, prospecting, and preparing competitive proposals

· Oversee all service work from initial call → estimate → repair/maintenance → billing and follow-up

· Schedule and dispatch crews, manage workflow, track job costs, and ensure projects stay on budget

· Maintain strong communication with customers, crews, production teams, and management

· Enforce strict adherence to company and OSHA safety standards

· Recruit, train, mentor, and retain a skilled and dependable service workforce

· Monitor department finances: review job costs, approve invoicing, manage receivables, and control budgets

· Stay current on roofing systems, materials, codes, and industry best practices

What You’ll Do Daily

· Meet with technicians to plan the day’s work

· Visit job sites to ensure quality and safety

· Handle customer calls, perform roof inspections, and sell service agreements/repairs

· Build estimates and proposals

· Coordinate material orders and equipment needs

· Review time sheets, job costs, and invoices

Required Qualifications

· Minimum 3 years of commercial roofing production/supervision experience

· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

· Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, Metal, etc.)

· Proven safety leadership and knowledge of IHSA regulations

· Proficient with technology (phones, tablets, CRM/job management software)

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

· Fluent in English
