Full job description

Lead Ice Cream Server
$20/hour + tips

Berries & Cream is looking for a dependable, outgoing, and customer-focused team member to take on a leadership role at our New Zealand-style real fruit ice cream trailer in Port Carling.

This position is ideal for someone looking for consistent hours, additional responsibility, and the opportunity to play a key role in a growing seasonal business.

Immediate start required. We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible and are seeking applicants who are available to begin training immediately.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and create a memorable guest experience
  • Prepare and serve premium real fruit ice cream with consistency and attention to detail
  • Open and close the trailer independently
  • Operate the POS system and handle transactions accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs
  • Assist with training and supporting other staff members
  • Prepare the trailer for events and help coordinate event operations
  • Set up, operate, and pack down the trailer at events when required
  • Help ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Qualifications

  • Previous customer service, hospitality, food service, or event experience preferred
  • Friendly, personable, and confident interacting with customers
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
  • Reliable, organized, and accountable
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and staying calm under pressure
  • Flexible availability throughout the summer season
  • Reliable transportation to and from Port Carling
  • Food Handler Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
