The Job

As a Host/Support Staff at AquaTerra, you’ll set the tone for an incredible dining experience from the moment each guest arrives.

You’ll welcome guests, manage reservations, keep the dining room flowing, and help connect guests with everything AquaTerra and the hotel have to offer. Whether you’re finding the perfect table, preparing a take-out order, delivering room service, or helping the service team during a busy rush, no two shifts will look exactly the same.

What You'll Do

• Give every guest a warm welcome and create a fantastic first impression of AquaTerra.
• Keep the dining room and lounge running smoothly by managing reservations, wait times, and the seating flow.
• Find the right table for each party, seat guests promptly, and present menus with a friendly, professional touch.
• Use the point-of-sale system to enter and process orders accurately and efficiently.
• Answer telephone calls and assist guests with questions, reservations, and take-out orders.
• Prepare and complete Grab ’n Go and take-out orders so guests can enjoy AquaTerra wherever they choose.
• Bring the restaurant experience directly to hotel guests by delivering room service orders promptly and with care.
• Complete floor sweeps to collect trays, dishes, and glassware from hotel lobbies and public areas.
• Help create memorable stays for VIP and Elite guests by coordinating special requests with other hotel departments.
• Support the service team by clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables for the next guests.
• Keep the host stand, dining areas, and service zones clean, organized, and ready for action.
• Stay in the know about restaurant promotions, hotel amenities, and local events so you can confidently answer guest questions and offer recommendations.
• Bring AquaTerra’s service standards to life through every guest interaction.
• Jump in wherever needed to help the team deliver an exceptional dining experience.

• Someone who can stay organized, manage reservations, and coordinate the flow of the dining room during busy service periods.
• A calm and composed team member who can manage wait times, guest requests, and changing priorities with professionalism.
• A natural multitasker who can move between greeting guests, answering calls, preparing orders, delivering room service, and supporting the service team.
• A detail-oriented person who can accurately enter orders, process payments, and communicate special requests.
• Someone who enjoys staying active and is comfortable being on their feet throughout the shift.
• A collaborative team player who is happy to clear tables, collect dishes, and jump in wherever support is needed.
• A reliable and polished individual who consistently represents AquaTerra and the hotel’s service standards.
• Previous restaurant, hospitality, hosting, or customer-service experience is an asset, but we are happy to train the right person.
• Experience using a point-of-sale system or reservation platform is an asset.
• Smart Serve certification is required if the position involves handling or serving alcohol.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, weekends, and holidays.
