Full job description

Mimico Cruising Club is looking for an experienced and dependable Line Cook to join our Food & Beverage team.

We are seeking someone who works well in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in food quality and presentation, and is a strong team player.

Position Details

  • Wage: $23.50 per hour
  • Location: Mimico Cruising Club, 200 Humber Bay Park Road West, Etobicoke
  • Position: Line Cook
  • Schedule: Must be available for evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Environment: Club restaurant, banquets, weddings, special events, and high-volume summer service

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Work efficiently on assigned kitchen stations during busy service periods
  • Maintain consistent food quality, portioning, and presentation
  • Assist with food preparation and station setup
  • Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and health and safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation
  • Assist with receiving, storage, and kitchen organization as required
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to provide excellent service

Qualifications

  • Previous line cook or professional kitchen experience preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of safe food handling practices
  • Food Handler Certification is an asset
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends
