Days: Monday - Friday

Time: 7:55 AM – 5:00 PM

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Program Support Specialist to plan, design, implement, and manage workshops and specialized training programs. This role combines program delivery, customer service, funding development, business growth initiatives, and project management. The ideal candidate is energetic, adaptable, and passionate about teaching, supporting programs, and contributing to organizational development.

Key Responsibilities:

Workshop & Training Delivery

  • Conduct workshops and training programs on:
  • Customer service
  • Warehousing, packaging, and labeling
  • Food handling and safety
  • Digital literacy
  • Other specialized programs as needed
  • Design and develop curriculum, training materials, lesson plans, and participant resources.
  • Customize training content to meet the needs of diverse learners and community partners.
  • Ensure compliance with food handling, safety, and regulatory standards during relevant programs.
  • Assess participant progress, collect feedback, and provide follow-up support or referrals as needed.

Program Development & Implementation

  • Design and launch new training programs aligned with organizational mission, community needs, and funding priorities.
  • Lead end-to-end program implementation, including planning, timelines, deliverables, and evaluation metrics.
  • Pilot new initiatives and refine programs based on participant feedback and outcome data.
  • Develop program frameworks, logic models, and performance indicators.

Project Management

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects from concept through completion.
  • Create and maintain project plans, schedules, and progress reports.
  • Coordinate internal staff, instructors, vendors, and external partners to ensure timely delivery.
  • Identify risks and challenges and proactively recommend solutions.

Program & Operational Support

  • Assist with scheduling, logistics, facilities coordination, and resource preparation for workshops and training.
  • Maintain accurate records of program activities, attendance, outcomes, and participant engagement.
  • Support continuous improvement of programs through data tracking and reporting.

Funding & Development

  • Research funding opportunities including grants, sponsorships, and partnerships.
  • Assist with grant writing, proposals, and required reporting.
  • Support donor and funder engagement, including stewardship of in-kind contributions.
  • Collaborate on strategies to increase program sustainability and funding diversification.

Business Development & Strategy

  • Support organizational growth initiatives, partnerships, and revenue-generating programs.
  • Identify opportunities for new services, training contracts, and community collaborations.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, program scaling, and long-term impact goals.

Stakeholder & Community Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with funders, employers, instructors, and community stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization at meetings, events, and community forums as needed.

Other Duties

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational operations and program success.
  • Some evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, education, business, or related field preferred.
  • Experience designing and delivering workshops or training sessions in one or more relevant subject areas.
  • Demonstrated project management and program coordination experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; grant writing experience a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and digital literacy tools.
