About Cozey

At Cozey, we’re all about empowering possibilities in your home and making furniture shopping as easy and enjoyable as possible. Our thoughtfully designed, stylish furnishings adapt to evolving lifestyles, combining innovation with a commitment to great value and customer service. As a fast-growing, online-first brand, our success is driven by a team that shares our passion for redefining the furniture experience.

The mission of the Senior Visual Merchandising Specialist at Cozey

As Senior Visual Merchandising Specialist reporting to the Director of Retail Strategy & Operations, your mission is to lead the in-store visual experience across our North American retail network. You design the layouts, manage the in-store sample toolkit (swatches, miniatures, accessories), execute the product ordering with manufacturers, drive the in-store logistics, and guide the Visual Lead in every store — all to maximize conversion, sales per sq ft, and brand consistency across every Cozey location.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead retail layout and visual merchandising execution across all permanent stores and pop-ups in Canada and the US — design store layouts, planograms, signage, product displays, and the in-store sample toolkit (swatches, miniatures, accessories) — and apply VM guidelines consistently as new collections launch, in partnership with Brand and Product.
  • Run regular in-store audits across the network to ensure VM guidelines compliance, and close the loop with structured feedback sessions with Store Leads to align on improvement priorities.
  • Guide and coach the in-store Visual Lead at each Cozey location to ensure VM guidelines, displays, and brand standards are consistently respected across the network — travel to every store on a quarterly cadence to provide on-the-ground training, share best practices, and unblock store-level execution issues.
  • Forecast and plan display, showroom, sample, and VM accessory needs by store, then issue and track product orders directly with manufacturers — managing samples, displays, lead times, and unit costs.
  • Manage the day-to-day VM spend against the annual budget set with the Director, Retail Strategy & Operations, partnering with Product and Supply Chain on assortment and sourcing trade-offs.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end inbound logistics of VM products to every store across Canada and the US — freight forwarders, cross-border customs clearance, store receiving, defective handling, supplier returns, display rotation, and delivery SLAs and contingency plans so every store opens, refreshes, or repositions on time and on brand.
  • Deliver against the role’s success outcomes: store conversion uplift, VM audit compliance score, on-time delivery rate of VM products, and respect of the annual VM budget.

We’d love to hear from you if you have

  • 5–7+ years of experience in retail visual merchandising, ideally in furniture, home, lifestyle, or premium DTC brands — with the ability to operate end-to-end, from store layout design down to terrain execution and logistics troubleshooting.
  • A proven track record managing cross-border logistics.
  • Strong cross-functional partnership and influence skills — proven ability to work closely with Retail Operations, Product, Brand, Supply Chain/Logistics, and Store Leads, plus the ability to guide and coach in-store Visual Leads toward consistent VM execution without direct reporting authority.
  • Bilingual French / English, written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel ~25–30% of the time across our store network in Canada and the US — including a quarterly in-person visit to every Cozey store.
  • Alignment with Cozey’s values — Create Value for Customers, Push for Excellence, Do the Right Thing, Find the Edge — and the leadership principles that go with them: Execution > Ideas, Speed wins, Performance mindset, Always improving, Preparation is everything (per the Culture Manual).

We care about you
