About The RoleThe CAD Designer (Office Furniture Space Planner) is responsible for conceptualising and creating functional office space layouts for customers based on their specifications using CAD software. They will add value to the customer service experience by offering advice and alternative options to the sales representatives to convey to their clients. This is a full-time, permanent role based fully on-site.

What You’ll DoDesign· Design office spaces and create functional layouts for customers according to specific instructions· Develop 2D and 3D detailed furniture layouts using Giza design software with a high level of accuracy and precision· Assist customers and sales reps to choose colour schemes as well as creating alternative design concepts to meet the needs of the client· Expand knowledge of the various manufacturers’ products· Occasionally go on site visits with the sales rep to provide design ideas, create rough sketches and assist in taking measurementsCoordination· Work together with manufacturer designers to complete projects according to specifications and timelines· Follow up with the sales reps for any required details to complete a layout· Actively pursue opportunities for training and skills development through online tutorials, PK Training sessions with manufacturers, and software developer updates
What You Bring· High attention to detail· Creative but able to work within limitations as set by customer· Strong time management and organizational skills· Exceptional customer service, in person and on the phone· Post-Secondary training in Interior Design, or Arts· 2-3 years CAD software (20-20, AutoCAD, etc.)· Experience using CET Designer (Configura) software is preferred.· Strong MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel) Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm.Learn more about us at www.source.ca.
