Escarpment Sports Medicine Centre is a busy Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Clinic with an exceptional multidisciplinary team including Orthopaedic Surgeons, Registered Physiotherapists, Chiropractor, Registered Massage Therapists and a Certified Pedorthist.

We are currently looking for an energetic and enthusiastic physiotherapy assistant to join our team. Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be a strong, positive team player. Key Responsibilities:

1. Assisting physiotherapists with treatment components including exercise prescription, taping, and modalities as needed
2. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of physiotherapy gym space
3. Brace fitting - custom braces eg ACL, shoulder slings, cooling units, soft braces (ankle/knee/wrist/elbow)
4. Helping with on-site laundry
5. Monthly brace inventory and ordering
6. Communicating with reps from various brace companies
7. Basic front desk duties eg booking appointments and taking payments
8. Creating exercise sheets for patients and emailing/printing them
9. Helping with content for social media account

Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates who have graduated from an established PTA/OTA program or candidates with a background in Kinesiology/Exercise Physiology/Strength & Conditioning. An athletic background, or working with sports would be a bonus !

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
