About Us:

Reconnect Health Services is a not-for-profit health service organization in the west end of Toronto. Our services include supports for seniors, caregivers, and people living with mental health and addictions concerns. We pride ourselves on being at the forefront of client-centred care in our sector.

Reconnect is seeking a skilled and dedicated Kinesiologist to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing clients' physical abilities, developing and implementing customized exercise and rehabilitation programs, and promoting overall health and wellness in accordance with the standards set by the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (COKO).

What You'll Do:

You will be entrusted with a wide range of responsibilities, including:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ physical abilities, movement patterns, and overall health status using evidence-based techniques.
  • Design and implement personalized exercise and rehabilitation programs tailored to individual client needs and goals.
  • Regularly monitor, measure, and document clients' progress, making necessary adjustments to programs to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with teams, staff, and programs across the organization to provide comprehensive and integrated care.
  • Educate clients on health, fitness, and injury prevention principles to promote long-term well-being and physical activity.
  • Ensure all practices and treatments comply with the standards and guidelines set by COKO, maintaining high ethical and professional standards.
  • Provide ongoing support and motivation to clients, addressing any concerns and adapting programs as needed to ensure client satisfaction and progress.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Must be registered and in good standing with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (COKO).
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a community, clinical, or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of human anatomy, biomechanics, and exercise physiology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and modify exercise programs for diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in using fitness assessment tools, software, and electronic health records.

Special Requirements:

  • Criminal background check;
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, as required.
